Guests who attended last year’s sold out event were wowed by the dances performed by community leaders and their professional dance partners as they vied for the titles of “Dancing with the Stars Wood Buffalo” and the “People’s Choice” awarded through online voting, votes from the audience and the scores they received from our esteemed local judges. Couples campaigned for votes leading up to the event through online voting (each vote a $20 donation directly to the SPCA). We raised $18,000 from voting alone and a total of $45,000 all together for the first year event.

This year, our community will enjoy following a new cast of local leaders as they vie for your votes in an all-out effort to raise much needed funds for the SPCA. Guests will be treated to an exciting evening of entertainment as MC Ross Jacobs hosts the second annual Dancing with the Stars Wood Buffalo on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the Sawridge Inn.

Doors will open at 6:30 pm, with introductions from Ross Jacobs starting at 7:00 pm. The much anticipated dance performances by your "stars" for the evening will begin promptly at 7:30 pm – guests are encouraged to arrive before 7:00 pm.
